To collect all the memories, we make here in Rotterdam. I planned to write each week about what we’ve done, the food we ate and the things that went wrong 😉 . These are my thoughts about the fith week:
Monday: After some sunshine on Sunday, it was raining again on Monday Morning. I’m so ready for the sun and cannot wait for spring.
Tuesday: Yes, yes, yes, the sun is shining and so am I. I was so happy on Tuesday morning because there was blue sky and sun all morning. I tried out a new study place and the view is incredible up there. Definitely will go there more often.
Wednesday: I had my first presentation at the Erasmus University on Wednesday. Luckily, everything did go well. In the afternoon Stefano and I went for a run at the Bergse Voorplas. The scenery there was unbelievable stunning, and I really enjoyed the run. Next time we go there I need to take my phone with me to snap some pictures.
Thursday: I woke up with a bad headache which did not really want to go away. Therefore, I did not go to university to study there but stayed at home. In the morning I could concentrate a little but after lunch I only could lie in bed and do nothing.
Friday: On Friday I met up with my other presentation partner to prepare our presentation for the following week. At night I didn’t go to dance as I was still feeling a little exhausted of the headache.
Saturday: Whilst Stefano did the food shopping run, I dedicated 2.5 hours on the presentation. In the afternoon we went to the Rotterdam Zoo. A beautiful (big) zoo located at the north-west of Rotterdam. In the evening we made some good pizza.
Sunday: Hand in Hand, Kameraden… Football Sunday. Early on Sunday we took our bikes to get to the south of Rotterdam. We had booked a tour through the stadium of Rotterdam and bought tickets for the match Feyenoord vs Willem II. Willem II, actually, is the football club of my mother’s hometown. The game ended in 2-0. After the fun, I took some time to work on my presentation again and Stefano made some pancakes :-P.
(nl) Om alle herinneringen te kunnen ‘onthouden’ ben ik van plan om elke week een bericht hier te plaatsen. Ik vertel over wat we gedaan hebben, wat we eten en alles wat miss ging 😉 . Dit was onze vijfde week in Roffa:
Maandag: Na wat zonnestralen op Zondag regende het weer op Maandag ochtend. Ik ben nu echt ready voor de lente en meer zon.
Dinsdag: Yes, yes, yes the sun is shining and so am I. Ik was in zo een goede stemming Dinsdag ochtend. De zon scheen namelijk en geen wolkje was aan de hemel te bekennen. Die ochtend ben ik naar een nieuwe studieruimte gegaan en wat en uitzicht je daar hebt. Ik zal er zeker vaker gaan zitten.
Woensdag: Op Woensdag had ik mijn eerste presentatie. Spannend. Gelukkig ging alles naar plan. ’s Middags zijn Stefano en ik gaan trimmen bij de Bergse Voorplas. Wat een mooie plek! De volgende keer moet ik mijn telefoon meenemen om wat foto’s te maken. Ik genoot zo van de omgeving.
Donderdag: Ik werd wakker met hoofdpijn. Ugh, zo niet fijn. Om die reden ben ’s Ochtens ook niet op de fiets gestapt maar bleef ik thuis om wat te doen voor de universiteit. Na het middageten was de hoofdpijn zo erg dat ik de hele middag op de bank lag.
Vrijdag: Op vrijdag had ik met mijn presentatie partner van de volgende week afgesproken om onze presentatie voor te bereiden. Omdat mijn hoofd nog steeds wat aan het dreunen was ben ik niet naar dansen gegaan die avond.
Zaterdag: Tijdens dat Stefano de boodschappen deed bleef ik thuis om aan de presentatie te werken. Nadat we dat gedaan hadden vertrokken we naar de diergaarde Blijdorp. We spendeerden de hele middag in de dierentuin en hadden veel plezier. ’s Avonds makten we pizza.
Zondag: Hand in Hand kameraden… Op zondag ochtend hadden we een stadion tour geboekt in De Kuip. We hadden een leuke tourguide en na een frietje en een hamburger kon de voetbalwetstrijd Feyenoord tegen Willem II beginnen. Willem II is overigens ook de voetbalclub van mijn moeders geboortestad. Het werd 2-0 voor Feyenoord. Die avond maakten we pannenkoeken :-P.
