summer bowl

granola for my summer bowl

(eng) Finally, I’m in holiday mode 🙂 ! As it isn’t that hot anymore, I really enjoy myself in the kitchen and try to make and bake loads of new stuff. In the mornings I like to switch up my breakfast whilst making a yoghurt bowl. On top of the yoghurt I like to put my selfmade granola and some fresh fruit.

For you I have the recipe for the granola …

… 3, 2, 1 into the kitchen and enjoy

Ingrediënten

  • 500 g havervlokken
  • 50 g zonnenbloempitten
  • 1 tl vanillepoeder
  • 75 ml ahornsiroop
  • 1 tl zout
  • 4 el kokosolie, gesmolten
  • 100g walnoten
  • 100g hazelnoten
  • 100g amandelen
  • optioneel: gedroogd fruit

Ingredients

  • 500 g oats
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder, unsweetened
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 75 ml maple syrup
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 50 g hazelnuts
  • 50 g almonds
  • optional: dried fruit

(eng) Preheat oven to  160 Celsius and line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats and seeds, vanilla and salt. Stir to blend. Pour in the oil and maple syrup. Mix well, until every oat is lightly coated. Pour the granola onto your prepared pan and use a large spoon to spread it in an even layer. Bake until golden, about 30 minutes, stirring halfway. Add the nuts in the last 10 minutes. The granola will further crisp up as it cools. Let the granola cool completely, undisturbed, before breaking it into pieces and stirring in the dried fruit. Store the granola in an airtight container at room temperature for one month or in a sealed freezer bag in the freezer for up to 3 months. Delicious!
