Plaza de España

Before my little citytrip to Barcelona I only knew the city from the movie „Vicky Cristina Barcelona“. The music and the cinematography had impressed me but what fascinated me the most was a scene were the leading actor and actress had a fight in Spanish. So I was very excited to have a look around in the Spanish streets of Barcelona.

I mean how can you not get hungry by already looking at this picture

I recommend ordering the pancakes and the açai bowl. It was sooo delicious.

Parc de Montjuic

When walking around the city we stumbled upon the Parc de Montjuic. In comparison to the other parts of Barcelona it was rather quiet and we enjoyed not being surrounded by hundreds of other tourists. The view is stunning and right next to the park there is also the Olympic stadium. (Here were held the summer Olympics of 1992.)

London Bar

The London Bar is right next to Las Ramblas. The special cocktails, the design and the music made the ambience perfect. It is not very touristic and the staff is very nice and talkative. 🙂

La Nostra Ciutat

This little design store in the gothic quarter offers some gorgeous locally made artisan crafts. Everything has been made with a lot of effort and the people in the shop were also very friendly. Look here at their web-shop: https://lanostraciutat.co

These are some of the highlights of our city trip. At least I really liked these places. Although something couldn’t really be topped, my travel buddy  😉
