RTL Nieuws New York
As a final part of my Master’s degree I completed an internship at RTL Nieuws in New York. RTL Nieuws is a Dutch news organization that delivers national and international news across multiple platforms, with a dedicated New York newsroom covering events related to the United States.
I independently developed TV stories and online articles, guiding them from initial idea to final publication. I researched, contacted, and coordinated interviewees across the United States, ensuring strong and relevant perspectives. Alongside my editorial work, I produced social media content by filming, writing, presenting, and editing, using audience engagement data to shape content strategy for @rtlnieuwsnewyork.
College Tour, de Podcast!
During my Masters in Journalism and New Media at the University of Leiden, my fellow students and I created College Tour, de Podcast!, inspired by the popular TV program. Led by Twan Huys, our team produced 10 episodes with notable guests such as Eliot Higgins and Sonja Barend. I was involved in various roles, starting as the final editor for the recording with sports reporter Noa Vahle, and later leading the camera team and editing all episodes with three other students. Working on this project from scratch with the master group was a valuable learning experience, and I am very proud to have contributed to this project.

I was born in Switzerland but grew up in a Dutch home. Therefore I consumed a lot of Dutch media. Their uncomplicated, spontaneous but still structured way of creating media inspires me.
My ambitions are very diverse. On one hand, I want to invest in news for the youth in Switzerland and finally be able to succeed in creating a daily news show for the next generation.
On the other hand, I would love to professionalize my knowledge in media / journalistic productions abroad and enhance my skills with a camera.
