(nl) Het semester aan de universiteit is weer van start gegaan en ik heb alweer een ongelofelijk lange To Do lijst die op me wacht. De vakantie in Italië wil ik jullie toch niet onthouden. Samen met mijn vriend heb ik namelijk eind augustus nog een roadtrip door Italië gemaakt. Op onze de dag van vertrek zijn we (te) vroeg opgestaan (2 uur ’s Ochtens!) om op tijd in Parma de eerste plek van bestemming te zijn. We hebben maar en korte tussenstop gemaakt in het stadje van de beroemde kaas en ham. Er was ook niet zo heel veel te zien of doen …
De reis ging door naar La Spezia, waar we een AirBnB gehuurd hadden voor drie nachten. Het appartement was helemaal naar wens en fijn gelegen om met de trein naar de vijf dorpjes ‘Cinque Terre’ te komen.
La Spezia zelf verraste ons positief. We hadden niet gedacht dat het zoveel leuke restaurantjes en straatjes zou hebben. Net als zo net aangeduid wilden we vooral naar de vijf pittoreske dorpjes aan zee gaan. Maar we waren niet de enige met dat plan. Cinque Terre was heel toeristisch en de prijzen duur. Jammer, want ze zijn wel heel erg mooi! Na twee en half dagen aan zee ging het door landinwaarts naar Turijn. Met een tussenstop in Genua.
Turijn is helemaal een aanrader! Om die reden wil ik graag een aparte Post over Turijn maken. Er is zoveel te zien, doen en eten dat ik het niet in twee zinnen kan samenvatten.

(eng) The semester at University has begun again and my To Do list is growing day by day.
Although all these tasks on the list are waiting for me, I still wanted to make a post about my holidays in Italy. Together with my boyfriend I went road-tripping through Italy at the end of august. On our first day we woke up (too) early (two o’clock a.m. !) to have less traffic and be early in Parma, our first stop. We only stayed there few hours as the city of the famous ham and cheese didn’t really convince us. One-and-a-half-hour drive away from Parma was our AirBnB in La Spezia. La Spezia surprised us positively, we didn’t expect the town so alive and busy. We rented the AirBnB for three nights and from there we went by train to the five famous villages ‘Cinque Terre’. We weren’t the only ones with that idea as we discovered the first day at the train station. All five villages were crowded with tourists and therefore pretty overpriced. Which was very sad as the villages are unbelievable stunning. I do recommend visiting Corniglia though. As it is on a hill and has no direct access to the sea there weren’t as much tourists as in the other villages and we enjoyed an unbelievable view and good food.
After two and a half days Cinque Terre and La Spezia we continued the road trip and our next stop was Genoa. We were there only for about 3 hours but we will be back as we found Genua surprisingly beautiful and calm (in comparison to Cinque Terre). The same day we arrived at our AirBnB in Turin. Turin is stunning and worth the stay for sure. For that reason I want to dedicate an extra post on our days in Turin. I don’t want to sum it up in two sentences.
